Abstract: The article discusses the transmission of Hepatitis C virus among patients receiving hemodialysis at an outpatient unit in New York. The results of an investigation carried out by the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) following this transmission highlighted the need to adhere to recommendations for infection control and ensure appropriate precautions and comprehensive HCV surveillance.
