Nearly three-quarters have exercised in last 24 hours

Most Canadians exercised within 24 hours prior responding to a survey conducted in Sep 1997. This rate has increased from 54% in 1990 to 73% in 1997. Most Canadians feel their personal weight is 'about right,' with 63% providing that response in 1997 and continuing a trend begun in 1972. Twenty percent of those responding are on a diet to maintain or lose weight.
