Abstract
- A Gallup survey conducted Aug 22-28, 1997 found that 49% of Canadians approved of Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien, down from 52% in July and 54% in July. Nearly one-third said they disapproved of the the prime minister, significantly up from 31% in July. Canadians in Ontario gave Chretien the highest approval rating, 62% and Quebeccers the lowest with 50% disapproving.
