Abstract
- A Gallup telephone survey of 1004 Canadian adults conducted October 7-13, 1997, shows approval ratings for Prime Minister Jacques Chretien holding steady at 52%, with no change from the September, 1997 poll. Thirty-one percent disapprove of Chretien's performance and 17% have no opinion. Residents of Ontario remain likeliest to support Chretien, with 64% reporting approval.
