Abstract
- A Gallup survey conducted Sep 4-9, 1996, found 37% of Canadians have hockey as their favourite sport to watch in person or on television. On a regional basis, all the regions of the country consider hockey their favourite sport to watch with the highest percentage in Quebec (41%) and Atlantic Canada (40%). The second most popular sport to watch for Canadians is baseball (14%). All other sports were named by 5% or less of Canadians. Twelve percent of Canadians expressed no favourite sport.
