Abstract
- Glancing angle deposition (GLAD) experiments have shown that the nanorod morphology has displayed a chaotic instability with increasing surface diffusion and the measured rod width versus growth temperature has converged onto a single curve for all metals. The GLAD data has indicated that the effective mass transport on a curved surface is described by a single normalized activation energy that can be applied to all elemental metals.
