Parallel synthesis of tamoxifen and derivatives on solid support via resin capture

Solid support via resin capture method was used to synthesize the estrogen antagonist tamoxifen and its derivatives. Isolation of the resin was done by filtration and purified by washing. Results show that these derivative forming reactions are dependent on resin capture and a silicon linker. Modification of each position about the ethylene core can be done using resin capture with the appropriate choice of alkyne, aryl halide and cleavage conditions.
