Abstract
- The electronic structures and magnetic properties of [La.sub.2]MnNi[O.sub.6], a typical ferromagnetic insulator with the double perovskite structure, are examined. The ferromagnetism mechanism is examined in terms of the superexchange interaction and the x-ray absorption spectrum based on the band structure results is calculated.
