Structure and thermal decomposition of some 5-(cyclohexyloxy)thianthreniumyl perchlorates

The structure and thermal decomposition of some 5-(cyclohexyloxy)thianthreniumyl perchlorates are presented. The 1H NMR characterization of and structure of 10 of these 11 perchlorate salts, the 13 C NMR spectra of seven of them and the structure of four of them as determined by X-ray crystallography (Ortep diagrams) are shown. Also, the products of decomposition of salts in CH3CN at 100 degrees C are reported.
