Abstract
- A study was conducted on the synthesis and structure of the mixed-halide cluster compound NaZr6Cl10.94(1)I3.06B. The findings indicate that the presence of both iodide and chloride ligands is necessary to form the structure of the title phase. Moreover, NaZr6Cl10.94I3.06B was found to be the first compound to be three-dimensionally linked by Ia-a-a functions only. The results also show that the chemistry of the reduced zirconium halides contains new variations.
