Plea for Euro-mutuality

It is vital that a stronger European dimension is given to education and training provision in the UK, according to speakers at a conference on improving access to jobs in the European Union. John Berkeley, senior fellow in the department of continuing education at Warwick University, England, called on the government to include a European dimension in the criteria for Modern Apprenticeships. He also stated that the overall aim of the national curriculum should be a European dimension.
