Generation of second-order cumulative waves accompanying the fundamental modes in a two-dimensional hard-walled waveguide

Research was conducted to examine the generation of second-order cumulative waves (SOCWs) that accompany the fundamental modes in a two-dimensional hard-walled waveguide of semi-infinite length using second-order perturbation. SOCW analytical expressions were obtained through appropriate boundary and initial conditions of excitation. Results demonstrate SOCW field distortion very clearly.
