Abstract
- A Gallup survey conducted May 22-31, 1998, showed that 57% of Canadians approve of Jean Chretien's performance as Prime Minister. Although this figure is 4% lower than responses from Mar and Apr 1998, it is similar to percentages obtained in late 1997 through early 1998. Support differs greatly between regions, however, with Ontario at 69% compared to 42% for Quebec.
