Abstract

The use of single, double or bi-directional solenoids in proportional valves is often problematic as they effect reduced uncontrolled load movements, produce lower driving forces, use more power and features high maintenance cost. Thus, fluid technology designers are advised to use linear force motors in their direct-drive servo-proportional valves because this motor type offers numerous advantages over solenoids.
