Abstract
- US businesses are pressuring legislators for specialized tariff bills that would help them avoid losses to imported goods. These range from costumes to televisions to textile machinery. Congress, however, usually combines individual tariff bills into one large measure without regard to specific industries. This can alter the market share and profitability of many firms.
