Abstract

The V transmission line was analyzed using a Yee-cell based finite-difference time-domain method to determine its characteristics for higher frequency ranges. Results showed that the V line is less dispersive than conventional microstrip lines, thus allowing faster propagation of signals. The most significant feature of the V line is the low coupling between adjacent lines, which makes it highly applicable to high density packaging.
