Abstract: A study was conducted to examine the link between the apolipoprotein E (APOE) genotype and cardiovascular disease in patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease (AD). A group of 100 patients aged between 59 and 91 were studied. The study revealed a higher rate of cardiovascular disease in patients with probable AD with APOE 4.
