Abstract
- A Gallup survey conducted March 18-24, 1998, found that 61% of Canadians approve of Jean Chretien's performance as prime minister. This figure is Chretien's highest rating since October 1995. Approval is highest in Ontario, with 75% of respondents supportive, and lowest in Quebec, with 42% supportive. Approval is also highest among wealthier, university-educated respondents.
