Abstract
- A Gallup survey conducted Feb 18-24, 1998, revealed that 55% of Canadians approve of Jean Chretien's performance as prime minister, a 3% decrease from last month. Support for Chretien is highest in Ontario, at 67%, and lowest in Quebec, were support is nearly evenly split with approval at 41% and disapproval at 42%. Support is also higher among wealthier, university-educated Canadians.
