Abstract
- A Gallup survey conducted Jan 22-27, 1998, revealed that 58% of Canadians approve of Jean Chretien's performance as prime minister, a 4% rise from last month. Support is highest in Ontario and Atlantic Canada, at 70% and 65% respectively, and lowest in Quebec, at 46%. Support is also highest among university-educated respondents and respondents aged 18 to 29.
