Liberal support rises to 55%

A Gallup survey performed Jan 22-27, 1998, showed that 55% of Canadian voters would support Liberal Party candidates in a federal election. This is a 4% rise from last month and a significant increase over the 38% figure at the last election. Support is highest in Ontario and Atlantic Canada, at 65% each, and lowest in the Prairies, at 36%.
