Revisiting the premed curriculum: updating premedical education to reflect modern science could improve the experience for other students, too

The Howard Hughes Medical Institute and the Association of American Medical Colleges wrote a report which urged educators to revise the premedical curriculum. The report suggests replacing the old curriculum which includes a year each of biology, chemistry, physics, organic chemistry, and calculus, with one that specifies content rather than courses.
