Abstract

Methylphenidate response in the treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) was predicted by polymorphism at the serotonin transporter (SLCC6A4) intron 2 VNTR (p=.01). This confirms previous studies that suggest a moderating effect of genes on ADHD treatment response.
