Abstract
- A study examines the nature and dominance of epistasis between alleles derived from Drosophila persimilis which causes hybrid male sterility in the genetic background of its sister species Drosophila pseudoobscura, in order to assess its key role in causing hybrid incompatibilities. Results reveal that epistasis increases the dominance of individually recessive-acting QTL loci so that they play a role in hybrid male sterility.
