- Pharmaceutical firms are forming partnerships to seek evasive cures, as seen in GlaxoSmithKline PLC and Pfizer Inc.'s ViiV venture on HIV/AIDS drugs. Wyeth has also formed a research venture with Janssen Alzheimer Immunotherapy Research & Development on Alzheimer's disease therapy. Details on other partnerships are presented.
