Abstract

The effects of C[O.sub.2] on gene expression and neurotoxin formation by proteolytic Clostridium botulinum type A1 strain ATCC 3502 are analyzed during the growth cycle. Microarray analysis has enabled the identification of coding sequences whose expression profiles have matched with those of the neurotoxin cluster and a DNA microarray is used for studying the transcriptome.
