Macau caps new casino tables: government hopes having a limit will help diversify the economy beyond gambling sector

Abstract: In a move to diversify its economy beyond the gambling sector, Macau will not approve any casino projects over the next three years. Macau also said it will allow only 500 additional gambling tables. 70% of Macau's revenue comes from gambling.
