- The owner of the Deepwater Horizon offshore oil-drilling rig that was leased to BP PLC and exploded and sank in the Gulf of Mexico with a resulting massive oil spill is looking to limit its legal liability for the disaster. Transocean Ltd. has filed a motion in court to have its liability limited to slightly less than $27 million?
