Abstract

Reactions of Hawaii-based businesses to a federal court ruling on the unconstitutionality of a state law are discussed. The said state law mandates the terms of ground lease rent renegotiations with industrial land owner HRPT Properties Trust. The said businesses had been forced into arbitration to renegotiate lease rent with HRPT.
