Abstract

We show that a broadband surface plasmon can be excited in a thin metal film. A train of two plasmons can be excited at conditions near the condition of broadband surface plasmon excitation. Also, a method for independent multichannel checks of biochips by wavelength addressing is proposed. OCIS codes: 240.6680, 130.6010, 110.2970.
