Abstract
- Total S.A. Chief Executive Christophe de Margerie believes that petroleum exploration in the Gulf of Mexico will take approximately 20% longer in the aftermath of the BP PLC oil spill due to tougher regulations that will cause delays in project approvals. This in turn would cause petroleum companys' costs to rise.
