Abstract: How to identify predictors and moderators of treatment outcome in the first Pediatric Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Treatment Study is discussed. The 112 youth patients were randomly assigned to cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), to sertraline, combination of both, or to placebo pill. Results show that greater attention was needed to treat more complex youth with OCD.
