Abstract

The study attempts to evaluate the efficacy of gentamicin-collagen sponge as a form of treatment for infection prophylaxis in colorectal surgery. The results indicate that gentamicin-collagen sponge is ineffective in such cases and also results in significantly more surgical-site infections.
