Abstract

The passage of legislation protecting the Earth from the effects of climate change has failed in the U.S. Senate. Aside from possibly paving the way for China to dominate the emerging energy economy, environmental effects such as forest fires, floods, and decline in phytoplankton might ensue due to this inaction. How citizens can help to address this inaction is discussed.
