Abstract

Western Digital Corp. has succeeded in the first complete implementation of the computer program language Ada on its 16-bit desktop computer. The Ada compiler in Western Digital's MicroEngine 1676 is a four-pass compiler. The only part of Western Digital's Ada implementation which is not portable to other hardware is the code generator.
