Misleading comparisons of homeownership rates when the variable effect of household formation is ignored: explaining rising homeownership and the homeownership gap between blacks and Asians in the US

The article presents a complete analysis of the different homeownership rates prevailing for different racial and ethnic groups in the US. Asians with high homeownership rates are shown to demonstrate the lowest tendency towards the formation of independent households in the country.
