Women-owned firms to benefit

Women-owned small businesses are expected to benefit from a federal contracting program to be implemented by the US Small Business Administration starting in 2011. The program sets aside contracts of up to $5 million for women-owned small businesses and aims to reach the goal of allotting 5% of federal contracting money to these businesses.
