Abstract

A study was conducted to evaluate the association between the measurement of cardiac troponin T (cTnT) using a sensitive assay with cardiac stricture and cardiovascular mortality in the general population. Results indicated that in the case of the general population, the use of such a method of measurement of cTnT was significantly associated with structural heart disease and mortality from cardiovascular events.
