Employment decentralisation: polycentricity or scatteration? the case of Barcelona

Barcelona is taken as an example to determine the shift from polycentricity to scatteration that is shown to be taking place in the employment structure of the world. The employment location and density conditions of a city are shown to be highly affected by the development of employment sub-centres.
