Abstract

A nanocomposite electrical generator composed of an array of zinc oxide nanowires is described, where the electric potential distribution along zinc oxide nanowires is modeled by using continuum mechanics and MaxwellEs equations for the case of axial loading. The studies have shown that the proposed system and loading configuration has generated up to 160% more electric potential than the values described for the nanowire in the bended configuration, which has resulted in a more sustainable energy source.
