Times Square facelift seen cutting into SA

An environmental impact study of the proposed Times Square redevelopment project predicts that the new office towers and wholesale mart would displace about 1,000 apparel jobs, and up to 47 firms may leave New York. The new mart may encourage firms to move marketing operations there and move manufacturing out of town; or it may attract more foreign competition.
