Houston faces long distance decisions as equal access dialing comes to town

Abstract

Houston may be the proving ground for long distance companies attempting to break into the equal access market. Currently, long distance customers who have not chosen a 'primary carrier' are defaulted to AT and T. The FCC will rule on this 'default allocation' process on June 2.
