OSHA eyes incentives to lower number of construction deaths

Abstract

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) plans to increase its employer-based safety programs to address the problems of fatalities in the construction industry. The OSHA plans to provide employers with incentives as well as the education to help employers reduce workplace accidents which result in fatalities. While injuries in the construction industry has steadily declined, the number of fatalities continue to remain the same.
