Abstract
- Photodissociation processes are examined using a two photon technique for hydrogen atom detection. A birds-eye view of a photodissociation that produces hydrogen atoms is produced rapidly. A number of simple one-color experiments are presented which involve the use of a 205.14 nm photon and the absorption of two additional photons to investigate the resulting hydrogen atom. The benefits and limitations of the use of a one-color experiment using identical pump and probe are discussed.
