Abstract
- Buried archaeological features can be mapped with ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and three-dimensional computer mapping. The new methods have been tested at sites in the Southwestern region of the US with good results. Sometimes buried features were not found by the GPR surveys due to factors such as soil conditions, disturbance of the surface, and calibration of equipment, which future GPR surveys could take into account.
