Abstract
- A theoretical framework for evaluating the performance of alternative combinations of time weighting functions, frequency domain mapping algorithms and fractions of overlap in overlap-and-add architectures is presented. The proposed algorithm is based on real-time discrete Fourier transform and aims to minimize the sensitivity loss caused by frequency excision. The sensitivity loss due to time weighting is described for variable overlaps and several different windows.
