Scheme Adds Leading-Zero Suppression

Abstract

A circuit is described that is capable of blanking leading zeros in multiplexed displays that use the 74C925 Series counter-driver. With the use of an additional flip-flop and a few modifications, the scheme is extended to cascaded counters with multiplexed 7-segments. A schematic diagram is included.
