Temperature dependence of the magnetization reversal in Co(fcc)-BN-Co(poly hcp) structures

A study is conducted on the magnetic properties of multilayer structures with two magnetic layers of the same metal (Co) but with different crystallographic structures. It is shown that the single crystalline fcc Co layer has nearly ideal switching of the magnetization when the field was applied along the easy axis. On the other hand, the magnetization of the hcp Co layer changes smoothly within a wide field range because of its polycrystalline structure.
