Abstract
- The electrochemical promotion of propene combustion was investigated in a sodium Beta'-alumina-supported platinum film catalyst. Sodium was found to enhance the chemisorption of oxygen and inhibit the adsorption of propene. Results also indicated that catalyst poisoning is due to the thick layers consisting of sodium carbonate and that the promotion and poisoning behavior is fully reversible as a function of catalyst potential.
