Relationship estimation by Markov-process models in a sib-pair linkage study

It is proposed that multipoint methods for classification of pairs in a sib-pair genome be based on a Markov-process model of allele sharing on chromosomes. Results of sib-pair linkage studies might be less valid if a substantial number of putative sib pairs are not in fact sib pairs. Such methods will be used in a coming version of the S.A.G.E. computer software package.
